Parrot Resources

As an organization that works with a number of birds, we often receive questions about parrots. We’ve included a number of resources below pertaining to help for parrots or parrot owners:

• Parrot Sanctuary (Toronto)
  This Toronto based rescue facility is devoted entirely to parrots. One of the many places in Toronto to home a companion bird.
  
  
• Toronto Humane Society
  While this shelter mostly serves the dog and cat community, they do also take in small exotics including parrots.
  
  
• Parrot Resource Centre
  Rescue birds for adoption and good information and resources for the prospective parrot owner.
  
  
• Greenwood Park Animal Hospital
  Greenwood Park Animal Hospital remains one of the few GTA animal hospitals with the interest, experience and unique equipment required to deliver medical and surgical care to exotic and avian pets.

  This US based website has articles that very accurately summarize the difficulties of pet parrots.
